Mexicali

There’s a new restaurant in SM San Lazaro and Amethyst and I had the chance to try it last last week!

My laptop needed some reformatting due to some silly virus and we needed a place to hangout while waiting for it. We were looking for something different, inexpensive and near so we tried Mexicali.

Mexicali looks like the perfect place because it's not crowded and it's the first time Amethyst would be eating Mexican food! YAY! Hahaha, according to her, she doesn't like the smell of Mexican food (or shawarma) but she is willing to try it.

The Interior

Just look at the colourful chairs and the mosaic at the walls! Very Mexican lang ang dating! J

The Food

I think this is called ‘El Niňo Nachos’
They are generous with their ground beef and cheese unlike other nachos out there.

Cheese and Garlic Quesadillas

It comes with three dips – mayonnaise (or is it sour cream? I’m not sure. HAHA),a spicy dip and salsa. My favourite is the first one.

The Verdict

I enjoyed our meal + study session in Mexicali! The crew were so nice and helpful. They helped us find a plug for Amethyst’s laptop and they are attentive on our needs. The food was also okay. I hope they just expand their menu especially on desserts.

Over-all, it's value for your money - low price + good food + friendly crew.

Mexicali is located at SM San Lazaro, Trinoma, Alabang Town Center and many more. Visit their fan page in Facebook to know more about Mexicali. J
