Catwalk x Etude House Makeup Workshop

One thing that I’m passionate about is makeup.

Others may not believe it at first but it’s 100% true. I love playing with eye shadows and watching Michelle Phan videos on YouTube. It’s my secret obsession. However, I simply cannot do the eyebrow thing! I tried it before on myself and on Mariel and the result is the same, our eyebrows look like that of Betty la Fea! Hahaha

Good thing I came across Marj Sia’s blog. I found out that she is offering make up workshops for beginners! There are actually 3 reasons that urged me to join this workshop:

a.   I want to learn how to achieve that ‘flawless’ skin minus the face that screams I’m wearing make-up and of course the eyebrow thing that I’m ranting about earlier! J
b.   It is sponsored by Etude House!
c.   Free goodie bag + photo session with Mylene Chung of 50 Feasts

Goofing around with the contacts from FreshLook! Marj gave me the gray one.
It’s our first time to wear contact lens and I lav et!
And did you know that Fresh Look has 18 colors to choose from
and it blocks up to 95% of UV rays? J

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all? Siya na!  Hahaha

Meet Marj Sia who is super kind and approachable.

A doctor from FreshLook explained the features and benefits of FreshLook
and how using contact lens bought from the internet can do harm to our eyes.
So better be careful when buying contact lens.

They also provided the makeup that we used.

The basic make up routine.
Trying to be attentive while hiding my excitement. J
Here as Marj Sia’s model for the eye makeup! I was so excited when she
called and asked me to be her model! I couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Happy Thursday ♥

Q: What’s better than TGIF?

A: Happy Thursday!

It was just like any other ordinary Thursday, but to our surprise (and delight), we don’t have any homework or quiz scheduled for Friday! Days like those are so unusual because we are constantly bombarded by lots and lots of quizzes/hw! Toxic talaga, good thing it’s sembreak already. J

This little night escapade was all planned by my cunning brother. Funny thing is, he loves eat-all-you-cans but he is the first to surrender! Hahaha! Don’t know if I should be proud that I ate the most during eat-all-you-cans. As they say, kelangan sulitin

Yakimix is one of our favorite restaurants. They serve Cantonese, Japanese and Korean food. One thing that sets them apart from all the other eat-all-you-can restaurants is their smokeless grill at the center of each of the tables. I was so ignorant the first time I saw it! hahaha

Define frustrated party people.

Mga mukhang gutom! HAHA, joke! You all look so cute and happy J

Can’t smile properly ‘cause my mouth was full! Do Kuya Bagi and I look the same or alike? A lot of people said that we are like twins.

The smokeless grill!

Ara-beb’s japanses plate

Sansrival. They also have chocolate cake, tarts and other desserts.

They serve ice cream! They have this corner where you can scoop any flavour that you want, put it in the ice cream bowl and sprinkle it with tons and tons of choco chips, sprinkles etc etc.

A word of caution: THEY.DON’T.HAVE.GOOD.CHEESECAKES. and I mean it! I was and am still disappointed since dessert is my favourite part of the meal and I love cheesecakes!

The Verdict
One thing that I don’t like is the dessert. It’s kind of tolerable but for someone like me who loves sweet stuffs, you might be disappointed by the quality of their desserts. BUT spare the cake since I believe it’s from Red Ribbon and their ice cream cause it’s good. Anyway, the sushi and the tempura make your trip to Yakimix worth it. J

Do you eat a lot during eat-all-you cans? Aminin!

Happy Chicken, Bon Chon ♥

I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about this chicken place called Bon Chon. It is said to be the best chicken in America according to New York Times, GQ and Esquire.

And of course I would not miss my chance to taste the ‘best chicken in the world’. So when Amethyst and I went to Megamall last September, we headed to Bon Chon for lunch! J

The Food

Kimchi coleslaw.
I love the extra kick it gives to your regular coleslow!

Kagutom ba? Hahaha! The skin was really crunchy but the meat itself was so juicy. Better than your regular fried chicken.

The Verdict:
Amethyst and I were so frustrated! We should have ordered the 2-pc.chicken or 3! Hahaha, you know it’s your fault Amethyst.

The price's also very reasonable, only Php 95 for this 1 pc. chicken! No reason to not try this little piece of heaven. And I can say that this is indeed the best chicken that I have tasted next to Lola's fried drumstick.
